Growing & Maintenance Tips for Cortaderia selloana 'Ivory Feathers®'
Pampas grasses are beautiful plants that require minimal care. They work great in full sun and although they prefer well-drained soil that has a consistent amount of moisture they will do well in any well-drained soil. As far as upkeep, it is best to leave the old foliage on through the winter as a protective mulch and in the spring the old foliage can be removed. The foliage of pampas grass is sharp and can cut skin and catch clothing, to be safe use gloves and some protective clothing when cleaning up and caring for it. If divisions are desired, do so in early spring after the plant has been cut back hard.
